orange essential oil, benefits and uses of orange essential oil

Let’s put the spotlight on Orange Essential Oil, one of my very favorite oils we carry!

Pure Ingredients

The cornerstone for all of our products is a commitment to natural, non-toxic ingredients that support our trademark motto of “Healthy Skin, Healthy Life.”

One way we accomplish this is by using only the best possible ingredients with an emphasis on those that were made by God and not by a scientist in a laboratory. Being committed to natural, non-toxic ingredients allows us to celebrate nature, sustainability and keep our families safe from unnecessary toxins found in many store bought products.

What can using pure ingredients do for you?

Pure ingredients generally mean better absorption and better assimilation by the body, and often as a result… better results. One category of pure ingredients is our line of therapeutic-grade essential oils, both in stand alone essential oil droppers and products that have been infused with these natural ingredients.

Orange Essential Oil: Preparation & Properties

Our Orange Essential Oil is cold pressed from the rind of certain varieties of oranges known for their aromatic nature and beneficial properties. It takes about 25 oranges to make just one dropper bottle of Orange Essential Oil!

You will find Orange Essential Oil in many products, with a top favorite being our Uplift Blend featuring Frankincense & Orange.

The properties of Orange Essential Oil have been shown in multiple scientific studies to be calming yet energizing simultaneously, making Orange the perfect choice for times of stress, anxiety, fear, or lack of concentration.  (Journal of Applied Microbiology, 2012)

Orange is generally considered to be uplifting and purifying, and has also been found to have cleansing properties and can be added to wood treatments and natural cleansing solutions like white vinegar or water.

How to Use Orange Oil

If you are using one of Jordan Essentials products that contain JE Orange Essential Oil, simply use as you normally would.  When using Jordan Essentials’ pure Orange Essential Oil Dropper, you can add to a diffuser or dilute in one of Jordan Essentials unscented lotions, salts, or sprays. It also works great when added to household cleaning solutions. It leaves behind a fresh, clean scent and brightens any room.

If you love Orange, I would definitely recommend taking a look at our Uplift Blend. Not only do you get all the benefits of Orange oil, but the addition of Frankincense takes the mood-boosting properties up a notch. Uplift is a fan favorite inside our Wellness Lounge Facebook Community, and is the best selling oil blend we carry!

Orange Oil can make you sensitive to the sun!

All citrus essential oils contain properties that may cause photosensitivity.  When applying products that contain any citrus oils, including JE Orange Essential Oil, it is recommended to avoid direct sunlight for up to 12 hours after topical application. Do a patch test to be sure you’re not extra sensitive before applying it all over your body!

No matter how you enjoy using your Orange Essential Oil, be it aromatically or topically (never internally), we know you’ll love the crisp aroma and beneficial effects of this oil! Remember to follow our Essential Oil Safety Guidelines – always dilute essential oils, and never ingest them. There are so many great benefits from applying them to your skin, there’s no need to put them in your mouth or through your sensitive digestive system! Use oils sparingly until you get the perfect amount. In this case, less really is more!
