Here’s our Summer Guide to Softer Feet!
#1 – Soak your cares away.
I did not realize how much I enjoy soaking my feet. Sure, it’s fun when you’re getting a pedicure, but what if you could do it any time you wanted?
Hint ~ YOU CAN!
You can create your own foot soak right at home. Best time to do this: Anytime your feet need some special attention… or anytime! You know, like a Monday Night at-home Mani-Pedi Session.
We like to use our Magnesium Dead Sea Salts in a foot soak for an added foot pamper as the Magnesium will help with aches and pains after a long day!
Tip: Add 2-3 tablespoons of Magnesium Dead Sea Salt to a foot basin of water and completely dissolve. Soak 10-15 minutes in warm or cool water because hot water can damage skin and dry it out more quickly.
#2 – EXFOLIATE!!
Remove the dead skin! Yep, I said it. Ewwww but everyone has it, and it’s got. to. GO!
There’s a reason your feet look so great after a professional pedicure – they have scrubbed off all the dead skin, revealing the youthful skin underneath! Your feet look and feel great once that’s all been exfoliated away.
Grab your Jordan Essentials Salt Scrub and exfoliate away! The salt is not only exfoliating but therapeutic as well. Soaking will loosen the dead skin and exfoliating will scrub it away.
Best time to do this: After soaking for 10-15 minutes
Tip: For some extra exfoliation on tough spots like calluses, use a pumice stone.
#3 – Time to MOISTURIZE!!
Ok, I’ll admit it… I am not great about moisturizing my feet. In the winter I do better, but the heat of the summer makes me not want to get slippery feet in my flip flops. I’m not the only one, am I?
Shea Butter will work wonders to moisturize the skin! As a thicker, more long lasting lotion, I love love love shea butter in the cold winter months! For added hydration, throw on a pair of cozy socks after using your Shea Butter to keep the moisture locked in. Wear them all night, and you will wake up with the softest feet yet! For Summer, I would use shea butter after I shave my legs and make sure you don’t skip your feet!
Flip flops are my favorite shoes year round – so even though this says summer guide to softer feet, I’m using these steps all year round. Do you love your flip flops, too? Send me a message to share the love for the best shoe style anytime!
Enjoy those flip flops!!
